Emerged in St. Botolph's Town this morn, missing St. Patrick by a day. There is some mysterious white material on the ground here, which is uncomfortably cold and moist to the touch... Brrr.

Hello!
I frequently read your blog and had to comment!
I was in Boston this weekend too, staying at NEC for an interview at Boston Conservatory. I'm from New Mexico so I also very rarely see that bizarre material people call snow. And really by the time I got to Boston on Saturday the 19, there wasn't much snow...I was a bit dissapointed.
I wish I had known about that church you wrote about, I would've loved to hear that music.
So yeah, enjoy reading your blog! thanks!

Thanks for reading and for the comment! I hope everything went well for you in Boston. Coincidentally, I was staying just a couple blocks away from NEC. If you end up going back to Boston for school, do check out Emmanuel—especially if you're at all interested in early music. It's such a pleasure to hear this music in that setting, played on those instruments and at such a high standard, especially for an average Sunday service. It's a real treasure.
