See comments below for background on why Boosey & Hawkes asked me to take down this post.
The sad part is, it seems to have escaped their attention that I genuinely enjoyed the ringtones after I started looking at the site. Ah well.

The link crashed my computer, dude, which is probably my fault, but you might want to put out a warning. And thanks for the good wishes on my health, it was greatly appreciated.

How curious! FYI, it's a regular mp3 file, and a pretty small one (250KB) too. Maybe try right-clicking and saving to your HD?
Glad to know you're feeling well enough to be blog surfing!

Hahaha! Superb!

I'm reminded of the definition of genteleman- a man who can play the bagpipes but does not. Perhaps the Nought Decade version of courtesy is a person who has the download and doesn't program it.

To whom it may concern,
You are perfectly entitled to your views on www.booseytones.com which interestingly contradict the opinions of a large number of our customers and composers worldwide.
We do recognise the limitations of polyphonic midi based ringtones which is why we have carefully restricted our offering, however the market currently demands both polyphonic and truetone ringtones.
What you are not entitled to do however is to:
1. Place the image of "Mozart with Bluetooth" on this site. The copyright in this image is owned 100% worldwide by Boosey & Hawkes Music Publishers Ltd and therefore for now we are asking you politely to remove the said image from your site within 5 days of receipt of this message.
2. Post a link to an mp3 sound file of Stravinsky - Rite of Spring allowing streaming and downloading of the composition. The copyright in both the music (the publishing) and the recording are owned 100% worldwide by Boosey & Hawkes Music Publishers Ltd and therefore for now we are asking you politely to remove the said link and all traces of the soundfile in all formats from your site within 5 days of receipt of this message.
Thank you for your time.

Damn right, Boosey & Hawkes. Take the piss all you want mate, but don't steal content from other sites. Not cool. You'd be well pissed off if someone stole half of your content or ripped off your little site.

Fair play mate... At least you've got the balls to admit your mistakes. I like your site though...

Dear Natasha and Alex and any other B&H visitors,
Thanks for coming by the site, and sorry the post didn't meet with your approval. Content has been removed.
I'd like to point out one thing, though: Isn't it conceivable that someone might have learned about your site here for the first time, clicked through after hearing the clip, and eventually purchased something? I just might have (though I certainly won't, now).
Regards!

OK, I just re-read this.
You may recall, my views on the site were that it sounded dorky at first, I looked at it, discovered it was dorky in the same way that I am, and was delighted! What's the contradiction?
This is awfully and unnecessarily defensive, given that I would much rather have a polyphonic version than a truetone version.

Fair nuff.
To rephrase: I never put a "soundfile" on this site or on my server. Rather, I linked to an mp3 that was on THEIR site, THEIR server. This demands that I not link to Boosey. A very bizarre request, non? I am more than happy to comply.
