I must admit that I have not been motivated to blog recently. As regular visitors could probably tell, I found the Katrina aftermath beyond depressing, and still do. For those of us who still have our homes, the crisis is over: Michael Brown is thankfully and finally gone, Bush is accepting some measure of responsibility for the Federal government's despicable failures, and the recovery effort has begun. But for those who live on the Gulf coast, the long haul is just beginning.
At some point my usual snarky self will return, and at that point I'll write something about the Santa Fe Turandot (alternately titled, "Calaf Plays Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"). In the meantime, peruse these records. Ewa Podles—known to the C- household as Eewah Poodles—continues to astonish.
