PWNED

I may be slow out of the gate on this one, but it's still a must-see. As Marc has noted, Gustavo Dudamel and the Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra pwned, well, basically everyone in this encore from last week's performance at the Proms. I particularly enjoyed imagining Lorin Maazel exhorting the NY Phil to do that.

3-minute video from GTL Torn T, via La Chic. Stream of the whole Prom 48 available on the BBC site for one last day today. Jessica collects four reviews, and calls the concert "the sensation of all sensations".

Comments

The Overgrown Path has some skeptical comments on this matter. http://theovergrownpath.blogspot.com/2007/08/they-would-be-booed-off-stage.html

Word.

When's the last time you heard an entire orchestra playing like they actually meant it?
